The land on which North Albany Senior High School is situated is a traditional Noongar meeting place. Travellers would come to the site to meet, to share and to learn from each other. It is with respect and pride that our NASHS community continues to gather on these grounds in search of being our best selves. We come as staff and students to learn and explore the opportunities that life presents to us and build a positive and robust community.
The buildings on this site of education became operational in 1982 and NASHS began to forge a reputation in the community as respecting its students first and foremost. With programs designed to support engagement and academic success, the school has a proud history of excellent ATAR achievement and WACE completion. NASHS has a strong relationship with the local aboriginal community, hosting educational engagement support programs such as the Clontarf Academy and Deadly Sista Girlz for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
NASHS students have regular opportunities to demonstrate their sporting prowess through a busy sporting calendar which includes local inter-school competitions and a strong presence in Country Week. The school also boasts an action-packed Arts program with solid links with the local arts community and a well-resourced and innovative Technology and Enterprise area.
This website demonstrates the NASHS community’s commitment to carefully and diligently support the learning of our future generations, as we move towards a positive and optimistic future. I am proud to be the Principal of NASHS and encourage you to explore our website to find ways that you can contribute to our NASHS family.
