Country Week Information

Get Ready for an Exciting Country Week 2025!

The School Sport WA 2025 Country Week Competition is set to be an unforgettable experience in Perth from Sunday, 28 June to Friday, 4 July (the last week of Term 2)! NASHS is thrilled to be entering teams in AFL, AFLW, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Touch Rugby, and Hockey.

How to Get Involved

Trials will be held in the first four weeks of Term 1, giving students a fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills. By Friday, 28 February 2025 (Week 4), all students will be informed of the selection outcomes.

⏰ Trial times will vary—they may take place before school, during breaks, or after school. To give yourself the best chance, make sure to attend all trials for your chosen sport(s)! If you’re unable to attend due to a valid reason, don’t worry—just speak with the Head of Phys Ed before the trial date to discuss your options.

Who Can Participate?

Country Week is a senior school competition, but Year 9 students may be considered in some cases. Unfortunately, Year 7 & 8 students are not eligible at this time.

What Are Coaches Looking For?

Our dedicated coaches are committed to selecting the most competitive teams, considering a range of factors:
✔ Sportsmanship
✔ Skill & ability
✔ Fitness level
✔ Expertise in key positions
✔ Game knowledge & strategy
✔ Leadership & coachability

If two students are equally matched, priority will be given to the student in the higher year level.

Get Your Permission Slip In!

To be eligible for selection, students must complete and return the permission slip included on the trial note, available from the PE department.

This is an incredible opportunity to represent NASHS, develop your skills, and experience the excitement of Country Week 2025. Get ready to train hard, play fair, and give it your all!
